Wow - what a blender!
Definitely Kitchen Aid quality. It is by far the best blender I have ever used. Mainly used for drinks and smoothies . . . they are done to perfection in a matter of seconds! It sits on the counter (not in the pantry) as I use it a lot and the design looks great!

Fabulous
I have been drinking protein shakes/smoothies regularly for lunch for about 10 years. I use frozen fruit for my drinks. As a result, I was ready to start a graveyard of failed blenders. I finally decided to step up and find a quality machine to replace the endless parade of underperformers. After reading many product reviews of this and other products, I opted for the Kitchen Aid Pro Line. It's been over a month of blender bliss for me since it arrived. No more groaning motors, leaky gaskets or lumpy drinks. It's quick, it's very serious and it performs. The one piece assembly is no trouble to clean and I believe will contribute to durability. I finally had to write a review when I made a creamed vegetable soup. It was the silkiest smoothest soup I have ever produced. I finally understood how fine restaurants achieve the quality.

Very good blender
I bought this to surprise my wife with a better blender. The old common one was continuously leaking. This one looks cool, runs reasonably quiet (quieter than expected), and is fast (really quick) and powerful. We love how it grates hard cheese, like Romano (but that is noisy, like crushing ice).
The base is easy to wipe clean. The container usually cleans up easily, except for the peanut butter in the breakfast smoothies (what can you expect).
Even the recipes in the manual are good. Love those oatmeal/raisin pancakes.
The wife is happy!

Totally disappointed with KitchenAid's quality assurance - My blender came DOA, it will not switch on. I bought this blender for my wife's birthday, it did not work for the first time she tried to use it. I went through the entire operation and troubleshooting sections of the owner's manual without success. It just will not switch on. So much for the best KitchenAid blender.

Absolutely Wonderful!
I knew that our old blender would soon be going into retirement so I had been looking for a replacement for some time. I must admit that I had not intended to pay so much for "just a blender" - this is anything BUT just a blender. The motor is what finally sold me as we needed one that could chop ice up without leaving 'chips'. This one chops ice into perfect shavings, almost slush without being watery. This machine makes the best smoothies that we have ever had. They are so creamy, it's almost like eating ice cream when you make them thick. YUMMY!!! Not one teensy ice chip ever enters my mouth...just smooth and creamy. Plus, we have noticed that this one does such a good job of sucking the mixture up and then down into the center which mixes it perfectly. Our old one seemed to only mix well what was down at the bottom where the blades are. This up-and-over action blends everything so that nothing is missed or shows up without being blended when pouring into your glass.
Yes, the motor is loud, but it takes mere seconds to whip up whatever is your choosing so how long is it actually running?! I like the fact that the pitcher and its base are an all-in-one; no need to worry about gaskets, or rings, molding and going bad, needing replaced. As the instructions state, just put a couple of drops of dishwashing soap into the canister after using, add about a half-pitcher of warm water and turn it on low for several seconds and it cleans itself. Rinse, dry - it's really easy to reach down to the bottom where the blades are and dry without fear of being cut - and you're ready to go again. I keep ours on the counter top because we use it so much. It's attractive sitting out and goes with any kitchen decor.
It's definitely worth the money and we have been very happy with our purchase.
